All our products are hand crafted, free of chemicals, artificial flavours or preservatives. Fermentation plays a big role in maintaining a healthy gut by adding beneficial bacteria and enzymes to the intestinal flora resulting in boosting the immune system. Fermentation and AGING add a complexity to the Cheeze and intesify the flavours. We are the only AGED Artisanal Plant-based Cheese in Hong Kong. Our Plant-based cheeses are AGED in our Nuteese cellars monitoring temperature and humidity and caring for them daily. . Only premium ingredients are used in making our Cheezes. And the most important ingredient is love.
Amy Elkhoury is the founder and CEO of Nuteese®️. She is a Plant-Based Chef and a conscious Foodie with a background in Whole Food Plant-Based Nutrition, Yoga and Animal Rescue. She brings her passions into her creations. She's an avid learner and loves being a wizard in her Plant-Based Food Lab, "Atelier Nuteese".
After working in multimedia and design, she wanted a balanced life and dived into studying yoga and Ayurveda and founded Saucha Yoga, a company offering corporate yoga classes and yoga and meditation classes at schools in Montreal, Canada. She then moved to Shanghai where she spent the next few years exploring Asia, travelling and studying with several world-renowned raw and plant-based chefs such as Matthew Kenney. She launched Nuteese®️ after settling in Hong Kong in 2020.
One of the biggest challenges in switching to a plant-based diet is often letting go of dairy cheeses. She wanted to create products that are delicious, healthier and that can save animals without compromising on taste. That’s why Nuteese®️ is made for the compassionate gourmet.
Her passions are travel, caring for animals and dance. She loves hiking with her dog early in the morning. It allows her to enjoy nature and silence and to start the day on a positive note.
Always innovating and keen to implement all she has learned from years of studying plant-based cuisine, She is developing new product lines.
